Meet Your Dentist

Ann T. Kennon, DMD

Dr. Kennon has practiced general and cosmetic dentistry in Taunton since 2002. In 2012, she purchased the practice from her father, Dr. Irwin Kennon, who cared for Taunton-area families at this same Prospect Street location for 40 years before her — continuing a legacy of local family dentistry that now spans more than five decades.

  • Cum laude graduate of Harvard University (B.A., English, 1994); varsity Division I field hockey and softball athlete, earning All-Ivy honors
  • DMD, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, 2002 — recognized for high achievement on the National Dental Board Exams and awarded Tufts' endowed "Excellence in Chairside Manner" honor
  • Continues ongoing continuing-education coursework throughout New England to keep the practice current with new techniques and technology

Outside the office, Dr. Kennon enjoys spending time with her husband Tom and their two children, Hannah and John.

General Dentistry

Treatments

A full scope of general dentistry to keep your smile healthy and functional — from routine restorations to same-day emergency care.

Fillings

Tooth-colored composite fillings repair cavities and restore the natural strength and look of a decayed tooth.

Dental Sealants

A thin protective coating applied to back teeth to help prevent decay, especially for growing kids.

Bridges

A fixed restoration that replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring to the adjacent teeth.

Crowns

A custom-fitted cap that restores the strength, shape, and appearance of a damaged tooth.

Dentures

Removable full or partial replacements for missing teeth that restore chewing function and a natural smile.

Dental Implants

A titanium post that replaces a tooth root, giving a stable, natural-feeling foundation for a replacement tooth.

Non-Surgical Periodontal Treatment

Deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) treats gum disease below the gumline without surgery.

Emergency Care

Dental pain or an emergency? We do our best to see you the same day — just call the office.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Something to Smile About

Even a subtle change in your smile helps you project confidence. Modern cosmetic techniques make it easier than ever to have a bright, even smile.

Bonding

Tooth-colored resin is sculpted and bonded to the tooth to repair chips, gaps, or discoloration in a single visit.

Veneers

Thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of teeth to correct chips, stains, or gaps for a natural, even smile.

Teeth Whitening

Professional Opalescence whitening lifts stains and brightens your smile more effectively than over-the-counter kits.

Clear Braces

Discreet clear aligners gradually straighten teeth without traditional metal brackets and wires.

Dental Health

Preventive & Family Care

Good dental health starts with prevention. Dr. Kennon and her team focus on education and regular care to keep problems from starting in the first place.

Oral Hygiene

Personalized guidance on brushing, flossing, and at-home care to keep your smile healthy between visits.

Child Dentistry

Gentle preventive and restorative care that helps kids build healthy habits and comfort with the dentist.

Prophylaxis (Teeth Cleaning)

Routine professional cleanings remove plaque and tartar buildup to prevent cavities and gum disease.

Periodontal Maintenance

Ongoing cleanings for patients previously treated for gum disease, timed to keep it from returning.

Arestin

A locally applied antibiotic that targets bacteria deep in periodontal pockets to support gum healing.

Dental Specialties

When specialty care is needed, Dr. Kennon coordinates with trusted local specialists to manage your treatment.
